What are Competitive Drives?

Competitive Drives is a new limited-time event in Overwatch that encourages players to engage in Competitive Play matches as Season 12 comes to a close. The event runs from October 4 to October 7, providing players with a chance to earn additional Competitive Points and exclusive cosmetic rewards. The event introduces a Drive Meter that tracks players' performance, rewarding them for wins and penalizing them for losses.

Earning Drive Points and Rewards

During the event, players will earn Drive Points based on their match outcomes. Winning a match will yield a Drive Score that is ten times the percentage of Skill Rank gained, while losing will deduct points based on the percentage lost. Players can reach various checkpoints to earn rewards, including Competitive Points and unique Signatures, which are stylized backings for BattleTags.

Signatures and Prestige

The event also features a new cosmetic element called Signatures. Players can earn these by reaching specific Drive Point thresholds. Each season will introduce new prestige tiers for Signatures, allowing players to showcase their dedication across multiple Competitive Drives. The highest tier, the Elite Signature, will be reserved for the most committed players.

Get Ready to Compete

With the Competitive Drives event starting this weekend, players are encouraged to log in and participate to maximize their rewards. Additionally, players can tune into Twitch streams to earn Battle Pass tier skips while watching Overwatch 2 content creators. This event not only offers a chance to climb the ranks but also to enhance the overall competitive experience in Overwatch.
