The track fit into one weekend

Junkrat's January Loot Hunt opened on January 22 with nine loot boxes available before the event closed on January 25. The compact schedule made it a clear weekend objective rather than a season-long progression system.

Blizzard emphasized flexible progress instead of a daily checklist. Players could spread their matches across the event or complete more in one sitting without losing a reward simply because they missed a reset.

No daily reset changed the pressure

Removing daily gates matters in a short event. It lets a player choose when to play and makes the final day useful for catching up, rather than discovering that earlier rewards are already impossible to recover.

The result was a straightforward return incentive: play during the four-day window, advance the track, and collect boxes. Junkrat supplied the presentation, but the scheduling model was the more notable part of the experiment.
