Overwatch 2 is set to engage players in a thrilling crossover with the iconic G.I. Joe franchise. This limited-time collaboration invites players to choose sides between the elite G.I. Joe team and the nefarious Cobra organization. The event runs from July 1 to July 14, 2025, offering a unique opportunity to earn exclusive in-game rewards while participating in themed challenges.
New Skins and Characters
The collaboration introduces several Legendary skins inspired by G.I. Joe characters. Players can expect to see Genji as Snake Eyes, Freja as Scarlett, Widowmaker as Baroness, Reaper as Cobra Commander, and Doomfist as Destro. Each skin not only reflects the character's essence from the G.I. Joe universe but also enhances the gameplay experience with their distinct styles.
Special Ops Challenges
To further immerse players in the G.I. Joe experience, Overwatch 2 will feature Special Ops challenges. Completing these challenges will unlock exclusive rewards, including signature voice lines, sprays, and a weapon charm. Players can earn the G.I. Joe player title and accumulate Battle Pass XP through wins in Quick Play, Competitive, and Stadium modes, with double progress for victories.
