A Nostalgic Return to Overwatch's Roots

The Overwatch: Classic event, which kicked off on November 12, invites players to experience the game as it was during its early days. This limited-time event is designed to evoke nostalgia and celebrate the elements that made Overwatch a beloved title in the gaming community. Players will have the opportunity to engage in classic 6v6 matches, utilizing the original hero roster and their iconic abilities.

Event Structure and Gameplay Changes

The event will run in two phases. From November 12 to November 14, players can enjoy the unrestricted 6v6 format, allowing for no-limit team compositions. Following this initial phase, Single Hero Limits will be implemented from November 15 until the event concludes on December 2. This change encourages strategic gameplay and teamwork, reminiscent of the original Overwatch experience.

Iconic Maps and Community Engagement

Players will battle on legendary maps such as Hanamura, Temple of Anubis, and Volskaya Industries, which are integral to Overwatch's history. The event not only aims to rekindle fond memories for veteran players but also serves as an introduction for newcomers to the game's rich legacy. The community aspect is emphasized, encouraging players to reconnect with friends or forge new alliances on the battlefield.
