The seasonal Mythic cadence doubled

Blizzard said the new release structure would target two Mythic hero skins in every season. Season 1 began with Celestial Guardian Mercy and Star Shooter Juno, then scheduled Hop Online Mei for the midcycle.

That cadence gives the Mythic shop more than one hero-focused headline at a time. It also reduces the gap between opportunities for different roles, even though any individual hero can still wait a long time in a roster of this size.

Mythic weapons remain a separate track

The plan did not replace Mythic weapons. Blizzard also previewed future hero skins for Soldier: 76, Illari, and Mauga, alongside weapon releases for Genji, Hanzo, and Sojourn.

Keeping the categories separate matters because a weapon is visible throughout first-person play while a hero skin changes the complete model and presentation. The roadmap suggests both formats will continue rather than one becoming the default Mythic product.
