Soldier's first Mythic leans into energy
Volted Overdrive gives Soldier: 76 an electrical treatment that carries through his armor and ability presentation. The base design remains readable as Soldier, but later options intensify the powered-up direction.
The four tiers include ability effects, alternate hairstyles, ambient visuals, and color choices built around red-and-black or white-and-blue combinations. Those options let players move between a darker combat look and a cleaner high-energy finish.
First-person effects matter for this hero
Soldier spends most of a match firing, sprinting, healing, and launching Helix Rockets, so ability effects are a large part of what the owner actually sees. The Mythic's value depends on those moments as much as the third-person armor.
Volted Overdrive was his first full Mythic skin, not merely a weapon release. That gave Blizzard room to change the complete character presentation while preserving the practical rifle silhouette players track in combat.
