The joke is a complete alternate role
The What If? collection built three skins around jobs or identities that sharply contrast with the heroes' normal presentation. Maid Ramattra and Firefighter Wuyang make that reversal explicit, while Vendetta receives her own alternate-role treatment.
A strong version of this concept needs more than one accessory. The costumes change enough of each silhouette and equipment treatment to sell the premise immediately during a match.
The set shares a release window, not one universe
The collection ran from May 12 through June 1. Unlike a lore event, the three ideas do not need to coexist inside one canonical storyline; the What If? label gives each skin permission to follow its own premise.
That framing also makes future additions possible without revisiting the same occupation. The collection is defined by character inversion, so another hero can join as long as the alternate identity is clear.
