Winter Wonderland Returns to Overwatch 2 with New Features and Rewards
The festive Winter Wonderland event has returned to Overwatch 2, introducing new gameplay modes, rewards, and holiday-themed challenges for players to enjoy this season.

Festive Gameplay and Challenges
The Winter Wonderland event has officially kicked off in Overwatch 2, bringing a host of festive activities for players. This year, the event introduces a new 6v6 gameplay mode on King’s Row, allowing for two tanks per team in a familiar 2-2-2 setup. Players can expect balance changes to ensure fair play, with the experimental mode running until January 6, 2025.
Notable Rewards and New Skins
Players logging into the game during the event will receive various login rewards, including a new snowflake icon, a party hat icon, and a Darumari souvenir. Additionally, completing challenges during Winter Wonderland will grant players access to three new Legendary skins: Merry Marionette Echo, Cassidy's new skin, and Widowmaker's winter-themed skin. These skins can be earned by playing a set number of games, with wins counting as double.
Returning Arcade Modes and Twitch Drops
The event also features popular winter-themed Arcade modes, such as Mei’s Snowball Offensive and Yeti Hunt, providing players with diverse gameplay experiences. Furthermore, Twitch Drops will be available starting December 21, rewarding players with sprays for watching select streamers during the event.
