Player Card Visibility Changes

The recent update to Overwatch's Progression 2.0 system introduces significant changes to how player cards are displayed during competitive matches. One of the key features is the shielding of player cards, which aims to enhance the strategic aspect of gameplay, particularly for veteran players.

Competitive Mode Adjustments

In competitive mode, enemy teams will not have access to player cards or Ascended borders until after the match has begun for 10-15 seconds. This delay allows players to strategize without revealing their top Heroes immediately, maintaining an element of surprise.

Streamer Mode for Content Creators

For streamers and content creators, the new Streamer Mode feature allows them to shield their most-played Heroes from view. However, this feature is only available to those who have completed the Tenacious Hero challenge, which requires winning 750 games across any mode. While their Hero picks remain hidden, the Ascended border will still be visible to all players, ensuring that streamers can still showcase their achievements without being pigeonholed into specific Hero selections.
