Quick Play Queue Introduced

The most notable addition in Season 18 is the Quick Play Queue, designed to provide a more relaxed environment for players. This mode allows friends to team up across different platforms, addressing a long-standing community request. Quick Play Stadium features a best-of-five format, where players can earn Powers quickly and experiment with different strategies without the pressure of competitive ranks.

Dynamic Ranking System Enhancements

The competitive aspect of Stadium has also seen a significant overhaul. Players must now win 10 games in Quick Play to unlock Competitive mode, with matchmaking ratings (MMR) from Quick Play carrying over to help new players find their appropriate rank faster. The introduction of a dynamic ranking system means that Stadium Points will vary based on performance rather than being static, allowing for a more fluid progression through ranks.

Improved Matchmaking and Draft Mode

To further enhance the competitive experience, new grouping restrictions have been implemented based on player rank, ensuring fairer matches. Additionally, a Draft Mode has been introduced, allowing teams to make strategic hero selections before the match begins. This mode aims to prevent mirror matchups and promote diverse team compositions, enhancing the overall strategic depth of gameplay.
