Season 5's October calendar: collaborations, Halloween and Team Drives

Blizzard's launch preview gives separate windows for Shadow Monarch, Graveyard Games, Tech Witches and the next competitive event.

The launch is not one deadline for everything

Blizzard's October 5 preview lays out the rollout surrounding the October 6 Season 5 launch. Shadow Monarch is scheduled for October 6–19, Mystery Madness: Graveyard Games runs October 6–November 2, Tech Witches follows October 9–26, and Team Drives returns October 29–November 1. These windows serve different parts of the season.

The new hero and Escort map belong to the season update. Shop collections, a Halloween event and a competitive progression weekend have their own schedules. Putting them all under a single season-launch countdown would hide the deadlines that actually matter when deciding what to play or which collection to inspect.

Plan around the activity you want

If you want event rewards, read that event's challenge requirements and weekly cadence. If you are considering a cosmetic, check the shop listing and the published collection window. Competitive players should finish placements before the Team Drives weekend. Those are different preparations, even when the dates overlap.

Payload Wire's refreshed timers use the announced calendar dates for these events. Exact cutoff hours have not been established in the preview, so a day countdown should not be read as a guaranteed final redemption time. The weekly shop reset is a separate recurring clock. This calendar will make more sense as several parallel activities than as a promise that every feature begins and ends at the same moment.
