These are windows, not confirmed dates

Players waiting on Lifeguard Mercy, Cardboard Reinhardt, Witch Kiriko, Cupid Hanzo, and the rest of this list are all asking the same question: when will these Overwatch skins return? Blizzard has not published a return schedule for any of the 20 skins below. This forecast uses each skin's original release route, seasonal theme, previous reappearances, and the ways older cosmetics currently move through the shop, Hero Gallery, Maximilien's Vault, Just for You, and loot boxes. A window is when a featured return looks most plausible, not a leaked date.

There is one useful live signal: Summer Games 2026 runs from July 14 through July 30. That gives Lifeguard Mercy a much cleaner short-term case than anything else on the list. Older non-collaboration skins have more routes back into circulation, while licensed collaborations operate under a different set of rules.

Best chances before October

The first group has no licensing barrier and no reason to be locked to one day on the calendar. Our forecast leans toward a late-summer Vault, Gallery, or featured-shop rotation, with Lifeguard Mercy separated from the pack by the active seasonal event.

  • Mercy - Lifeguard: July 21-August 11, 2026. High forecast confidence. Summer Games is active now, making this the strongest immediate fit.
  • Reinhardt - Cardboard: August-September 2026. Medium. It is an older standalone shop skin without a collaboration or holiday restriction.
  • Kiriko - Hashimoto: August-October 2026. Medium. A regular legacy-shop rerun or Vault appearance is more likely than a themed event return.
  • Lifeweaver - Cleric: August-October 2026. Medium. Cleric has already demonstrated that it can cycle back independently of its original season.
  • Mercy - Bee: August-October 2026. Medium. Its broad theme makes it easy to place in an ordinary shop week or personalized rotation.
  • Junker Queen - Mob Boss: August-October 2026. Medium. Another early standalone shop skin with no external licensing attached.
  • Symmetra - Art Deco: August-October 2026. Medium. It has previously moved with the older Overwatch 2 shop pool and can return without an event.
  • Mei - Retro Star: August-October 2026. Medium. The same older-cosmetic route that applies to Art Deco makes a quiet Gallery or Vault return plausible.

Seasonal and fantasy bets

The fantasy skins are easier to bundle together than to pin to one exact Tuesday. Witch Kiriko and Cupid Hanzo have the strongest calendar identities; the others could appear in a broader fantasy collection before or during the fall event window.

  • Kiriko - Witch: October 1-November 3, 2026. High. If Blizzard follows the obvious seasonal slot, this is the cleanest Halloween return on the board.
  • Widowmaker - Medusa: September-November 2026. Medium. A Halloween-adjacent mythology bundle is more plausible than a random summer week.
  • Reinhardt - Minotaur: September-November 2026. Medium. It pairs naturally with Medusa if the older Olympus set is surfaced together.
  • Lifeweaver - Harbinger: September-November 2026. Medium-low. The dark fantasy look fits fall, but its previous bundle route makes the exact return channel harder to call.
  • Lucio - Bard: August-November 2026. Medium. A fantasy collection is its best thematic opening, though the skin is not tied to one holiday.
  • Hanzo - Cupid: January 20-February 17, 2027. High. A Valentine's window remains far more likely than a late-summer rerun.

The cyber group could travel together

Several early Overwatch 2 cyber and streetwear skins were made available together through the Hero Gallery after their first shop runs. That history makes a coordinated cyber collection, Vault selection, or Gallery refresh believable, but there is no current event that narrows the timing beyond the next few months.

  • Widowmaker - Cyberdevil: August-November 2026. Medium. It has already returned outside its original release window.
  • Genji - Street Runner: August-November 2026. Medium. An older shop skin that has previously traveled with the expanded Gallery pool.
  • Hanzo - Cyber Dragon: August-November 2026. Medium. Its best chance is a grouped cyber rerun rather than a seasonal event.
  • Zenyatta - Cybermonk: August-November 2026. Medium-low. The theme lines up, but there is less evidence for a specific featured rotation.
  • Kiriko - K-2000 Blademaster: August-November 2026. Medium-low. Its original premium-bundle route makes a direct shop rerun less predictable, even though older premium cosmetics can resurface through other systems.

Panther Mercy is the exception

Mercy - Panther has no responsible 2026 return window. It was part of the Persona 5 collaboration, so Blizzard cannot treat it like an ordinary in-house shop cosmetic. A rerun depends on the partnership returning and on both sides making the set available again.

Our earliest plausible call is 2027 or later, with low confidence, and permanent unavailability remains possible. Any post claiming a specific Panther Mercy date without a new Persona 5 announcement should be treated as speculation rather than scheduling information.

The practical order to watch is Lifeguard Mercy first, Witch Kiriko in October, the grouped cyber and fantasy skins through the fall, and Cupid Hanzo around Valentine's Day. Everything else is a flexible rotation candidate rather than a calendar lock.

Questions and answers

When will Lifeguard Mercy return?

Blizzard has not confirmed a date. The strongest forecast window is July 21 through August 11, 2026 because Summer Games is active through July 30 and Lifeguard Mercy directly matches that event.

When will Witch Kiriko return?

There is no confirmed return date. October 1 through November 3, 2026 is the most plausible window because the skin has a clear Halloween theme.

When will Cupid Hanzo return?

Blizzard has not announced a rerun. The best forecast is January 20 through February 17, 2027, around the Valentine's Day shop window.

Will Panther Mercy return?

No return is confirmed. Panther Mercy was released through the Persona 5 collaboration, so it likely requires that licensed partnership to return. A 2027-or-later rerun is possible, but permanent unavailability is also possible.

Can old Overwatch shop skins return outside the Featured Shop?

Yes. Depending on eligibility, older cosmetics can also reappear through the Hero Gallery, Maximilien's Vault, personalized Just for You offers, or loot boxes.
