Season 3 Midcycle Brings Summer Games, New Collections and a Purple Drive
The second half of Reign of Talon adds returning summer modes, two 6v6 experiments, Mythic World Forger Mauga, and a packed cosmetic schedule.

Summer Games opens the midcycle
Summer Games 2026 runs from July 14 through July 30 with Lucioball, Lucioball Remix, and Winston's Beach Volleyball returning to the Arcade. Event challenges add another reward track alongside the second half of Season 3.
The midcycle also introduces Mythic World Forger Mauga. Its four customization tiers cover hairstyles, sea-and-sky styling, elemental colorways, glowing tattoos, and additional visual effects.
Two team-format tests split the schedule
Quick Play Hacked returns for two separate 6v6 experiments. The first window runs July 16 through July 19, followed by a second test from July 30 through August 2. Blizzard's announcement positions both as experiments in how teams are assembled rather than a permanent replacement for standard queues.
The Season 3 Competitive Drive follows from August 6 through August 10. Its progression track awards a new blue-and-purple Signature, with additional benefits available for grouped wins.
Three collection windows overlap
The Beachside Collection runs July 14 through August 3 with Widowmaker, Doomfist, Juno, Vendetta, and Anran. The OWCS Radiant Collection follows July 21 through August 10 with Radiant Guardian Ana, Radiant Spirit Mizuki, and Radiant Watcher Emre.
Date Night also returns July 21 through August 10, adding Cassidy, Juno, and Lifeweaver to the collection. Junkrat's Loot Hunt fills the July 31 through August 3 weekend with a separate match-based Loot Box track.
