The trial version is not the final baseline

Doctrine arrives in Season 5 with adjustments following his trial weekend. The October 6 notes reduce Invigorating Drones' attack-speed bonus, increase Shrouded Momentum's cooldown and reduce its damage reduction. Shrouded Momentum also loses critical-hit immunity. Blizzard says the trial showed the support performing too strongly relative to the rest of the role.

Deliverance applies its effects faster, but the overhealth and enemy debuff last for a shorter window. The update also raises ultimate cost and reduces the Transfusion perk's conversion rate. Those changes affect both the hero's own safety and the amount of value a team can stack around his support tools.

What to reassess in your first matches

A successful trial-weekend habit may now require a safer exit or a more coordinated timing. Use the mobility ability as a planned reposition rather than an assumption that every incoming shot can be ignored. When committing an ultimate, teammates need to act during the new window instead of expecting the earlier duration.

The central kit still combines ranged healing and damage with drones and an empowered ability choice. Its release is therefore not a completely different hero, but neither is it an unchanged replay of the trial.
