Four regions converged after Stage 1
Champions Clash was set to bring eight teams from Asia, China, North America, and EMEA to Arena Tachikawa Tachihi in Tokyo. The three-day event used a double-elimination bracket and a crowdfunded prize pool.
Dallas Fuel entered as North America's first seed after an undefeated stage. Spacestation took the second NA place, while defending world champion Twisted Minds and Virtus.pro represented EMEA.
China was set; Asia still had a final bracket
Weibo Gaming and All Gamers secured China's two places. Korea, Japan, and Pacific still had to play through an eight-team Asia championship for the final two invitations.
That remaining bracket kept the international field open until May, while the already-qualified teams could prepare around known opponents and a new tournament build.
Sierra entered international play
The tournament was scheduled on Patch 2.1, making Champions Clash the first international OWCS event to include Sierra. Teams had to account for a new damage hero and the broader Season 2 changes after qualifying on earlier versions of the game.
The Elysian Keeper collection continued funding the prize pool through Wuyang, Reinhardt, and Lifeweaver cosmetics. That linked the live event, the in-game campaign, and Stage 1's competitive outcome under one closing weekend.
