Recognition expands beyond one highlight

Accolades open a short voting period after Play of the Game, allowing players to recognize teammates or opponents. The system can surface contributions that a single automated highlight may miss, including support, space creation, or consistent objective work.

The player with the strongest vote receives an animated MVP spotlight. That gives the lobby a clear closing moment while keeping the decision in the hands of the people who played the match.

The post-match lobby becomes social again

Blizzard also included an optional voice-chat join around the sequence. Players who want to discuss the game can remain together, while everyone else can leave without being forced into a social channel.

Accolades complement Praise rather than replacing it. Praise delivers smaller character-driven feedback during play; the MVP vote creates one deliberate summary once the result is settled.
