Recognition now sounds character-specific

Praise uses hero voice lines recorded across Overwatch's history to deliver positive feedback after meaningful moments. Instead of a generic confirmation tone, the game can answer a player's contribution with dialogue that belongs to its cast.

The archive is important because it gives the feature range without requiring every interaction to be recorded from scratch. Years of existing performances become part of a behavior system while retaining the tone players already associate with each hero.

Audio controls keep it from becoming noise

Blizzard paired the system with controls for announcements so players can decide how much spoken feedback they hear. That matters in a game where ability callouts, ultimates, pings, and team communication already compete for attention.

Praise was presented as one part of a larger post-match recognition effort, later joined by Accolades. The common goal is to make useful or memorable play visible without depending entirely on the Play of the Game sequence.
