Three timing changes land together

The June 23 hotfix is a narrow map update rather than a full balance pass. Blizzard changed three pieces of Neon Junction's payload flow, all of them working in the same direction: slowing the attacking team's progress and creating more time for defenders to regroup.

No hero tuning accompanies this patch. Replay codes from the June 16 season update remain available.

  • Payload speed was slightly lowered.
  • Payload unlock time after a point capture was increased.
  • The payload wait at the end of Area 2 was increased.

Where the match should feel different

The lower travel speed affects every uncontested push, but the two added waits are likely to be more noticeable. A longer unlock after a capture gives eliminated defenders a clearer chance to establish the next position instead of arriving after the cart has already advanced.

The Area 2 pause similarly creates a defined reset before the final stretch. The notes do not publish exact timing values, so the size of each change has to be judged in live matches rather than inferred from the wording alone.

A targeted correction

Because every listed adjustment targets one map and one objective, this hotfix reads as a pacing correction based on the first week of Season 3 play. It does not change Neon Junction's geometry, spawn locations, capture rules, or hero pool.
