Matchmaking Enhancements

The Overwatch team has acknowledged player feedback regarding the matchmaking system in the Stadium game mode. An internal modifier that was initially applied to all players will be adjusted to only affect new players, which should lead to more balanced matches. This change is set to go live on June 3, alongside a standard balance patch. The developers anticipate that these adjustments will help stabilize matchmaking ratings over the coming weeks.

Skill Bonus and Challenges

In a recent hotfix, the Stadium Ranked Skill Bonus for Pro, All-Star, and Legend ranks was increased from 25 to 50. This change aims to provide a fairer opportunity for players striving to reach the All-Star tier and earn the exclusive All-Star Legendary Juno skin. To accommodate this adjustment, the challenge to earn the skin has been extended through the end of Season 17, allowing players more time to climb the ranks.

Introducing Stadium Forge

A highly anticipated feature, Stadium Forge, will be introduced in Season 17, allowing players to save and share their Builds. Players can create Builds for their favorite Heroes, access them during matches, and share strategies with others. This feature aims to enhance the social aspect of Stadium, making it easier for players to experiment with different strategies and learn from one another. The developers plan to provide additional guidance and example Builds to assist both new and experienced players.
