Four creators rebuild the roster
Community Crafted is the center of the June 30 client update. Guxue, Apply, Ocie, and mL7support each contributed ideas for an Arcade ruleset that changes every playable hero except Shion.
The mode runs from June 30 through July 13. Its design is intentionally broader than a normal balance patch, with hero kits altered for experimentation rather than folded into the standard Competitive or Quick Play rules.
The changes are deliberately disruptive
The patch includes kit swaps and mechanical rewrites that would be out of place in a routine live balance pass. Zenyatta, for example, can use Orb of Destruction to heal allies in the Community Crafted ruleset, while Orb of Harmony is repurposed to increase attack and movement speed.
Those changes belong to the limited Arcade mode. The notes do not present them as permanent updates to the standard game.
Client fixes arrive with the mode
The update also fixes an incorrect 1,000 Overwatch Coins display price in some languages, an AFK timer issue on Neon Junction, a Hero Bans display problem, and several Shion interactions. Blizzard also addresses lighting that rendered some heroes brighter than intended.
Because this is a game client patch, replay codes are wiped. Players saving matches from the prior build lose access to those codes after updating.
